A handheld gauge that measures the thickness of paint and other coatings without damaging them, using a probe on a cable. The magnetic-induction probe reads non-magnetic coatings on steel, and the eddy-current probe reads insulating coatings on non-magnetic metals. It reads 0 to 1250 micrometres, stores statistics (average, maximum, minimum, variance), checks against tolerance limits and sends readings to a computer or Bluetooth printer.
